My mission is to facilitate the healing of the mind, body and spirit, in myself and others in my community, through sharing the transformational practice of yoga.  As a facilitator, it is my goal to help students strengthen their own practice and get in touch with their inner teacher by focusing on the breath, calming the mind, and waking up the feeling body.  My hope is to bring all the unique qualities of my personality into my teaching to help encourage students and guide them to a place where they feel that they can let go, trust themselves, and know they have everything they need to become light and free, both on and off the mat.

One of the many benefits of this practice is the feeling of peace that is achieved after each session.  The goal of yoga is to quiet and still the mind and return the body back to it's natural state of peace.  That is exactly what this practice offers.  Yoga allows us to explore the inner workings of our mind, body and spirit.  It is my hope that I can share this practice and guide others to achieve the transformational effects of Ashtanga Yoga.

With regular practice the body becomes strong, the mind becomes calm and focused, and we return to our natural state of peace and happiness.  As an instructor it is important to me that I challenge students to find the balance between too much and not enough.  Through practice, it is important for students to challenge themselves, to go deeper, to explore their limits and push past them.  Yoga is challenging.  It can be difficult at first, uncomfortable, just like many of our own life experiences.  When we choose to keep moving forward, remembering to BREATHE when things get tough, we learn that we are stronger than we think.  We learn that we can do hard things and that life is beautiful and we are all more than enough!

The whole point of the practice is to learn to trust yourself.  YOU know exactly what you need but you have to be willing to leave the ego at the door.   It is up to you to open your mind and begin to notice the way you FEEL. Remember, Grace and Ease, Grace and Ease.  Get rid of that inner critic and trust that you are guided and held.  That only love is real.

Yoga has helped me connect to my true self in my natural state of being.  I practice yoga to be at peace, to be grounded, centered, content, happy, light, healthy, and strong both on and off my mat.  Practicing yoga allows me to do my life in a peaceful way, focusing on self love & care, and sharing the love and kindness with everyone in my world.

It is my goal as an instructor to spread peace and share love in the It's Yoga way!  Our purpose here on earth is to be happy.  Just breathe and go with the flow.  May all beings everywhere be happy and free. Namaste.
