"I am a yoga convert. When the company decided to offer your class I was excited to see what an official yoga class was like. Since I’ve started practicing yoga with you I’ve noticed a huge difference both physically and mentally . I’m in my mid 40’s, so I have my share of aches and pains from age and previous injuries (but mostly the injuries….because I’m not old!!!) Anyway, yoga has helped me to gain flexibility and balance that I’m not certain I ever really had. Additionally, it helps me to mitigate the stiffness that I experience after hard bouts of weightlifting. As for the mental component, I tend gravitate towards my mind being overactive, almost non-stop. Practicing yoga forces me to become engaged in the practice at which point all other thoughts are placed on hold." - Paul P.
"Having Yoga Express at my company twice a week has allowed me to make the time for myself that I otherwise would not. I remember the very first class, in tears, thinking to myself how will I ever get through this…Well I couldn’t be more pleased to have kept at it! I now have more strength and flexibility than I ever have in the last 10 or so years and just feel better after every session! I have health issues and this is a no brainer for me to keep at while I am at work and makes me feel like I am actually taking those steps towards a longer life and better me. It has helped my mental release and focus and given me techniques to use outside of yoga. Keep breathing! Carmie is a wonderful instructor! She makes all of us feel very comfortable and has a sense of humor as well. Thanks Carmie – you truly have helped me find a better me inside and I will be forever grateful for that! Not to mention a friendly ear and shoulder when I needed it! Muah xoxo" - Rachael O.
"I appreciate having yoga come to work as it is an excellent way to spend my lunch hour; exercising and relaxing at the same time, a true mental break as well. The concentration on mindful breathing has also helped in managing my asthma. I found yoga breathing similar to what I practice to cope with asthma; 4 count breathing – inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and hold again for 4. I have enjoyed your leadership and methods. Your love for yoga has been evident in your teaching. The only improvement that I feel would help me is to have a new move demonstrated first...I guess I learn better from a visual than verbal instructions. I feel I have benefited so far and while I am not very flexible physically, I like that you encourage the group to do what feels good for us individually and according to our abilities." - Patti S.
